If you could have super powers, what super power would you have, and what would you do with it? Would you use your powers to help others, or would you become a villain? -adapted from Iseinie Mendez and Shamika Nelson

If I had a super power it would be to control time. The reason I would have this power is because if i did anything wrong i could just go back in time and undo it. Controlling time would allow me to change horrible decisions that have been made to impact the world as we know it. I would use this power for good and maybe do a little mischief with it by getting lottery numbers and going back and winning them. Most of all I would change things like horrible deaths murders etc. If I had the power to change time I would try and do everything to perfection. I would help out president to make the right choice and only reveal my power to those who can use it most and can affect the world in positive way and I would never abuse the power for my own personal gain. I would continue living the life I live now except to have more things that I would enjoy. Like more games a mansion, lots of money. I would ace all my classes by keep on going back in time and doing things that I needed to do to get 100s or A's in all my classes. To me the best power would be time control because you could do anything imaginable. Create new inventions that already existed. All in all i would use my power for good and not for bad. My super power would be time control.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a super power, I will want to have immortality. Immortality is ability to live forever and I like this superpower. This power can be use as a superhero or as a villain which depend on the type of person someone is. However, I will like to be a superhero and the reason I choose to live forever is because I can never die. This will help me with my fear of death. I will also want this super power because I can help people for the rest of my life and I love help people because it make me feel good as a person and I know if I help people, good deeds will follow me. I can also witness many events that happen on Earth that change the world and I can pass down to generation since I can live forever. I can learn new experience and can never let go of tradition and cultures people have taught me over the years. I will also want to switch ages as well. For example, I might want to be a kid for several years because I don’t have that much responsibly and just go to school, or I can be an adult for a number of years because I want to have that independent freedom to say and do whatever I choose to do, and etc. This will built my experience since I can live forever. This can also give me the advantage to be a strong leader since I have experience and help teens or people in need of help forever. I also can’t get hurt physical example: cut with a knife because I can live forever so I will not die. I don’t want to use my power for evil because that’s taking advantage the superpower that I can have.
ReplyDeleteIf I can have another super power, I will also want to be omnipresence. Omnipresence is the ability to be everywhere at anytime. I will like this power because I can fix mistakes I made in the pass. I will also like it because I can travel to places I haven’t been to and learn more things about countries, cities, etc. I will be a superhero and also help people. I don’t want to use my power for evil because that’s taking advantage the superpower that I can have.
I know many people, mainly kids that would love t have super powers, their imaginations would run wild with ideas on what power to have and how, what, or who they would use it on.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a super power I believe I would love to be able to read minds, teleport, and see the future. I would probably use my powers to help others. What is the good of having a super and not share it with others. I would love to be able to read people’s minds so I could save some people’s feelings. Also, if someone was planning on doing something bad I would be able to stop them before they get a chance too. If I could teleport I would be able to stop people from bad accidents and get to places faster that would more be for my benefit so I can always be on time. To read the future would be the best. I could be able to help people make the right decisions and to tell people what is ahead in life to look out for. That could probably save lots of innocent lives because they would be aware of a bad situation or place and stay away.
Having super powers might be all fun and games, but who’s to say that the excitement of it won’t ware off? Plus it might cause problems; you don’t get everything you want for a reason. Too much of a good thing is bad for you. Plus being a super hero would require you to fight bad guys and deal with criminals in dangerous situations. Eventually you would get tired of having people call on you and expect you to do things for them and fight their battles and you might not have a life anymore because you would be forced to do things for the people.
So think about would you really want a super power and is it really worth wishing for or dreaming about?
If I had a super power it would be to read people's minds. To be able to do this would be very interesting. The reason I would love to have this power is because I can know what certain people have on their minds and what they are thinking. Reading people's minds would help and allow me to know things that other people do not know. I would know things that people are going to do before they actually do it. This type of power would help a lot of people and I can also use this power for good. For example, if I read someone's mind and they are planning someone's death I can warn that person or go to the cops to prevent it from happening. This would be saving someone's life and my powers would be in good use. My super powers can be in use for anybody that plans on doing something negative or will harm our world. I would enjoy this power because knowing what people are thinking is very cool. To me, this is one of the best powers you can have and you can actually get something out of it. If I had this super power other people would want it to because I would show how useful it is. As you can see, if I had any super power, it would be to read minds.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any power it would be to have infinite knowledge. With that I could find the cure for many world wide diseases. Also, I can solve issues such as the hole in the ozone layer and global warming. An even bigger situation that I could take on is religion is would be able to end the dispute of whose religion is correct. . One difficulty to this would be that some people would want me to use my knowledge to make the U.S the most powerful country while others may think I should use my mind for world peace. Also, some people may feel that me having this power is not good and try to assassinate me but with my knowledge I could probably predict it. With my mind I could become a billon air with no problem. As an incredibly smart billionaire I could end up becoming the worlds greatest humanitarian because my money would go to supporting the needy not only in America but across the globe as well. My career would be a shoe in with my knowledge I would know what people want so I could make some of the best music people ever heard. This could benefit me and the world in so many ways. I would be a hero and the world would be safe, so everyone would be happy, how could they not be?
ReplyDeleteIf I could have super powers, my super power would be to have the ability to change peoples minds. With this advantage I could be very successful in life easily. For example, lets say a teacher was thinking about failing me in their class, I could change their mind and make them pass me. Thing's like when I want a job and I'm trying to convince the manager to hire me, that wouldn't be so hard because all I have to do is make him consider hiring me. On the other hand, if somewhere out in the world a doctor isn't lets say supplying a dying patient at the hospital with what they need because the person doesn't have enough money, I would use my powers and change the person who's in charge of this activity's mind. This is why my powers can help other people as well too. Thats why I would love to have the ability to change peoples minds whenever I want. Not only would my life be good but it shall be drama free with this super power. I would even be able to get anything I want. If I was to steal something I could change the clerks/security mind in arresting me and just letting it go.
ReplyDeleteAnother super power that I would choose to have would have to be the ability to not only change peoples minds but read them also. I would want to be able to read people's minds even when they aren't with me also. If I had this special power, I wouldn't tell a soul because then it would be pointless because the word might get out and people wouldn't want to think what they want to think when they know about me. With this power, I would use it to my best ability in the sense of being able to know what people think of me as and with this I could live with my guards up on who to trust and not to trust. I hate when a lot of times I just have to wonder what someone is thinking about. With this power I would never have this problem. That is why if I was able to have super powers, I would rather pick one of these or both.

ReplyDeleteIf I was a superhero and I could have any superpower in the world, I would choose super strength, the ability to fly and mind reading. I decided to choose these three powers to help others because with super strength I can be able to lift the heaviest objects and move it out of a persons way with breaking a sweat, the ability to fly because I could get to the hospital in time so a person who is injured can be healed or cured before they die and mind reading because I could stop people from talking bad things about me or any one else so we can solve the situation before it heats up and gets worst. Super strength, the ability to fly and mind reading all can work at the same time because mind reading can tell you what is the situation that needs to be fixed and the situation could use super strength to save a civilians life and the ability to fly can help fly and find a place to the move the object that I lift. I can also use more superpowers to help people, which are super speed, super intelligent and control time because I can get out of trouble faster and try to save my life and a other persons life faster with the super speed, Super intelligent because I want to know everything there is to know even the question that are unanswered, I want to be able to tell the answer it without guessing and control time because I want to go back into time and fix mistakes that I made in the past and see what can the future would be like if I have changed the past. All the super powers that I chose can benefit others such as me. I would also use my super power that I chose to fight off villains that feel will try to kill me and my people off. Villains would try everything in their power to stop me from helping people but since I have these powers it gives me advance over them and become one step ahead of them. So the powers I chose will be used to help the world to best that I can from crime and other situation plus I would my power to help myself and others from villains.
If I could possess a superpower, I think I would the gift of telekinesis, flight, and time travel. Those superpowers are something I would like to have because they kind of go hand in hand with one another. I would the telekinesis to bring things to me when I don’t want to get and get them myself. I’m a little bit lazy and I think that would definitely help me with things I deal with on a daily basis. Such as if I was sitting on the couch and watching television I could use telekinesis to pick up the remote from the living room table, which is sometimes far away. I know that would probably make me really lazy but sometimes I don’t feel like doing anything and that superpower would help me do certain things. I would also like to have the ability to fly because it would be nice to be up there with the birds just free as a kite. I wouldn’t have to worry about traffic, because who else is going to be up there in the sky with me? I most likely would be able to get to and from places much faster than if I would have taken a bus or train, or by foot. The only real threat I would have would be the birds and the airplanes that could smash into me. That’s most likely the only thing that could possibly kill me. I would choose time travel, because there are things in life that I would like to go back and re-do. There are things that I shouldn’t have seen, said, or done. All of those things I would most definitely change those things because they hinder my progression. If I had the ability to time travel I wouldn’t have to think about said things because they would have never happened. Then again I probably would find a way to go and do something that would involve me having to go and change that also. Inevitably this power would just confuse me, and make me do stupid things all over. These powers are still something that I would want to have.
ReplyDeleteIf I could have any super power it would be the power to read minds and unlimited interpretation. With these powers I would be able to know what all people are thinking any time I wanted and I could be able to decipher all and any codes and speak and understand any language. These powers would give me the ability to communicate with all people all over the world and know their true thoughts about everything. Communication is the key to all successful relationships so having these powers could be very beneficial to all people. There powers could solve everything from worldly disputes to local gang violence and so much more. If more people communicated they could be a lot less problems all over the globe. I would choose to use my powers to help others because I feel they could be more beneficial that way. If I became a villain I would only make the world more chaotic because I would arouse old problems and create new ones. As a super hero I could serve as a world peace ambassador or a world mediator and solve all major problems and also be a consultant for other smaller issues. Currently the world is not communicating enough on the same level that’s why there are so many people dying in wars and through other forms of violence if there was somebody to communicate the feelings of all opposing nations to each other there wouldn’t be any problems. As a mediator I would analyze situations give both sides advice and partially decide their final incomes to ensure peace will be restored. Reading the minds of others would allow me to learn their true stand points on all topics which is very important because sometimes people lie about their feelings and opinions knowing the truth could lead to the satisfaction of their wants or needs. Knowing all truths is a power that can be used for many bad things if given to the wrong person but as a super hero I would make sure this power would only be put to use for doing good things.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, If I was to have superpowers it would be, Invisibility, to telaport, Mind reading, Diamond skin, Super Speed, Lazer eyesight, and the power to control someone, and their thoughts. I think these would help me be one of the greatest superheros known to any child or adult.
ReplyDeleteI would choose invisibility because, I could mess with people and they wont know who it is. I would also use it for my personal needs like, if i was to get into trouble i would become invisible to the people that i am in trouble by. It would be a big help when im fighting bad guys because, i can hit them and go invisible. I would like to telaport, because if I was To Be Late for school, i could just telaport there in less then one minute. I would basicly be able to go anywhere on earth and be back anytime i want. The main reason is it will save me alot on money metrocards.
The next powers i would like to have is to read minds. I would love to read minds to figure out if people are saying things about me, or others. Another reason i would want mind reading as a power is cause, i can upset people by being invisible and read their mind at the same time. I would want the super power Diamond Skin because if a villain is shooting at me, i would not get hurt, because my skin is protecting me. And when i need money i would take a diamond off my skin and sell it to a jeweler. Superspeed would be awsome, because not even the fastest car or animal could catch me. I would also be able to catch the vilains.
Lazer eyesight and mind controlling would top everything off because i would be able to burn through anything by looking at it. And mnd control would be the best because, i can make people do what i want them to do when i want them to do it. All of the powers combine would make me famous, and i would be known as Ms. undifeateble.

ReplyDeleteBatman, Superman, and even Captain America are all inspirational superheroes that make people wish they had their powers (or for Batman is intelligence), but if I had to pick a superpower, I would pick telekinesis, the ability to move things with my mind. Some people might say,” Why kinesis? Why not flight or super strength?” The reason is because Kinesis has both of those combines. Kinesis is able to levitate everything; including your own body and u have no need to pick up stuff since u can just think of picking it up. Kinesis can also read minds and I’d probably use it to cheat in anything I want. Another superpower I would pick is super intelligence, like batman, I would be able to think my way out of any situation within seconds and be able to solve puzzles and problems without irritation. I would be the greatest detective or criminal mastermind who ever lived. If I had to choice to be a good guy and a bad guy, I would be both. The reason is though that, “Great power, comes with great responsibility.” You can’t help your self into the power you’ve obtained. If everyone had superheroes, then we would have a great amount of crime in the world, and world peace will never be obtain because of that. I’d wouldn’t do a bank job, just probably mind trick a cashier for at least 5 dollars. Barely any superheroes get paid from their jobs. I would want to be as imaginative as the Joker, and as Brave as the Man of Steel when it comes to someone important to me. If I could have a wish I would probably wish for superpowers since they benefit you in a great deal of away. I would probably ask for more powers but I don’t want to be overwhelmed or even can’t control them and end up dead from them, but my current choices of powers I would be happy with since it’s a balanced idea and gives me the freedom I want. So all for now I would pick kinesis and intelligence.
The idea is often displayed in movies, books, television shows, etc., but we always wonder what life would be like if humans had super powers, or extraordinary abilities. If I had superpowers, I would choose the ability to control time. It’s not fun or exciting as being able to fly, or being invisible, or being able to control the elements, but it’s a lot more useful. There are only so many uses for a power like flying, or invisibility, but the possibilities with controlling time are infinite. Because the ability to control time would give me some sort of superiority over normal humans, I would use my powers for good. I would use it to help people, because if I came across a super powerful being, I would want them to use their powers to help, not wreak havoc. Using my powers to help people, I would control time to prevent things like car accidents, or untimely death. For my own personal use, I could use my ability to get to school faster, and finish homework quicker, and get where I need to go in a timely manner. As was said in Spider-Man, “With great power, comes great responsibility.” Even though time control would be useful for things in my everyday life, I would have to make wise decisions about the use of my power because I might not know how it would affect the people around me. I think about the movie “Click”, and how much of a negative affect time control had on the main character played by Adam Sandler. I wouldn’t want my power to affect me negatively, so I would have to control my use of it very well. The reason why I wouldn’t choose a super power like, flight, or invisibility, is because their purposes would eventually cease to exist. What I mean by that, is the uses of those abilities will tire. There are only so many things you can do with flight and invisibility and I would intend to use my powers for mine as well as the benefit of those I care about. Having powers would teach me a lesson, to be responsible, and to not take advantage of anything.
ReplyDeleteIf I had any superpower it would be to read peoples minds, I believe that’s the most amazing thing and it would always come in handy. However I want to be able to read minds when I feel like it and not just have a lot of people’s thoughts going on in my head so I get headaches. I want to be able to control my power, so if I look at the person and focus I could tell what they are thinking. I could be my own personal lie detector. I hope that with this power it could grow and I could move things with my mind because usually that’s what happens, in movies and cartoons. Though I would really like this power I don’t believe I would like other people having this power, I might actually despise those people because I wouldn’t want anyone reading my mind even though I want to do it to other people. Also if you’re in a relationship with someone you could read their mind and know what they are thinking about, though I wouldn’t advice you to read your partners mind all the time because you might find out things you don’t want to know. You should only read a partners mind if you think your relationship is what is on their mind. Even if you’re not in a relationship with someone but you want to be in one with them but you don’t know if they feel the same way about you; the best thing to do is have a conversation with them and see what they are thinking about or just read their minds at random moments, if you ever feel or see them looking at you. My gift wouldn’t only be for my own selfish purposes; if someone was to attack another person for no reason I could just use my mind and throw them up against the wall and save that person’s life. Though we all might want different powers for different reasons we could probably all agree that having superpowers would be really, really cool!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl I always wanted to have super powers. I always imagined that I had powers and played super heroes with my brothers. Honestly, I still wish I had super powers. The super power I want to have is the ability to read other people’s mind. Communication with people is difficult sometimes. Understanding other people’s point of view becomes difficult because sometimes people tend to leave out portions of their thoughts because they feel that they may hurt others with their honest opinion. I feel that if I were to read minds, I would have fewer arguments with people and possibly less friends as well.
ReplyDeleteIt’s typical for people to say that they want to be a super hero if they get super powers, but I want to be a super villain. If I get my mind reading powers I would be a super villain. I must admit, my biggest concern is not about making other people’s life better; it’s about making my life better first, then make other people lives better if possible. I will first use my mind reading powers to see what other people think of me. I have a lot of “friends” but I know deep down in my heart that only one or two of them truly cares for me. I would use my mind reading powers to test the validity of my friendships. I would also use my super powers to read my mother’s mind. I always get in trouble with my mom sometimes because we always come to a misunderstanding. If I were to read her mind, it is possible that I may get in less trouble than I usually would.
One last thing I would do is manipulate my powers by using them for my future career which is being a psychologist. If I were to read my patients’ minds I feel that I would do my job very well. I would truly be selfish with my powers and would only help myself but indirectly I am going to help some people like the people who I plan on using my powers on.
If I could have any superpower in the world, I would choose to have a power that will allow me to duplicate myself. Having this power, I will be able to be in multiple places at a time. This means I will be able to go to work, school, volunteer, play pranks on people, and participate in any activities that will benefit me and that I will enjoy. I may seem selfish because I will mostly use the power for my benefit.
ReplyDeleteThe most fun in having superpowers is being able to wear a costume that will disguise my identity. Because of the disguise and my assumed innocence will allow me to archly get away with villain like crime. I could possibly rob a jewelry store without any body knowing. If I am a villain I can deceive many people that need to be tricked. Having a duplication power I will do anything that I want to do, whether it is good or bad. Usually in movies the villain has a cool theme song, and the best superpowers.
Having the ability to create multiple versions of myself will enable me to also help other people. If a favor is asked of me, without interrupting my schedule I will be able to do what they need. I could have endless responsibilities and complete them all. What are the imaginable possibilities of being able to duplicate yourself? The good thing about having a superpower is that you can do almost anything you want, though when having one you may feel obligated to serve other people, and help them. I would use my power to an extreme to benefit myself, others and get away with sneaky activities.
The problem with wanting a superpower and choosing one is that they are infinite and more than one is wanted and needed. Everyone wishes and longs for a superpower or supernatural ability but it is true power to be willing to make things happen on our own.
If I could have any super powers it would be to change people's identity.With this super power i would put people into other people's shoes or bodies,mainly into mines so that they can see how my life is and what im going threw as a young teenager in the state of new york.A superhero or a super villian can use this,But i just want people to feel the pain that im feeling inside.Because people in this world just can be judgemental,obnoxious,and immature.And they do it to the people that they think they can just walk all over and take power over.I also want people to know how i grew up, so i would also change time and let them know how i was raised and what makes me the person i am today at this moment.I would consider myself to be an isolated confident,mature,intelligent,outspoken,and funny young man.My Super Power is very different from other's because i decided to think out the box and be different ! and also my super power is very unique to use because it lets you inside of how people are and why their the way they are.I Think that by having this super power you won't just judge people by the way the look,act,or speak.
