RACE PROBLEM 2010
We're coming to the part of TFA when whites arrive and begin to colonize Okonkwo's homeland. Considering past racism and oppression, do you think blacks deserve special treatment or acknowledgment? For example, do you think American blacks should get reparations (money paid as an apology for slavery)? Do you believe so-called "reverse racism" against whites is acceptable? How much of a problem is racism today?

Racism is the discrimination or prejudice of a person or group based on the racial group that person belong to. Some refer to racism as white supremacist, the belief that the Caucasian race is superior to all other races. Others define racism as discrimination against a particular race’s culture, beliefs or traditions. Racism might refer to the idea that a single race is somehow purer than other races, or that one race genetically exhibits dominance over others. Some believe that race can be a way to determine behavior and performance.
ReplyDeleteI believe black shouldn't get special treatment or acknowledgment. I believe this because if you look at all the other ethnic group and races, we are not the other race that dealt with past racism and oppression. Why should we get a special acknowledgment just because we dealt with pass issues such as civil right movement, slavery, voting right (mostly women), etc.? I'm also black and I'm not saying that blacks should have no acknowledegment. We should point famous Black Americans such as Josephine Baker, William Edward Burghardt DuBois, Marcus Garvey, etc. Howver, we are not the only race that dealt with past race and oppression. The roots of the Asian Exclusion Act lie in the Chinese Exclusion Act, passed in 1882. The Chinese Exclusion Act prevented all Chinese immigration specifically, and it was renewed in 1892 after it expired. In 1902, the Chinese Exclusion act was renewed again, this time for an indefinite period. Both pieces of legislation were passed in response to the idea that Asian immigrants posed a threat to American society. Along the West Coast especially, Asians had been seeking their fortunes since the mid 1800s. Some of these immigrants worked hard to achieve their goals, but they were still unable to become citizens or own land. They also faced serious discrimination from European Americans. Another example is the Holocaust which was the mass killing of Jews by the Nazis during World War II.
I believe that so-called "reverse racism" to white is not acceptable because what is the point saying something racist to whites if they say something racist. The situation doesn't get better. It gets worst and nobody is benefits from the situation. This also goes under "Do unto others as they would do unto you." in other words treat other the way you want to be treated. Don't say something racist back to somebody if you didn't like their comment. Finally, racism still happen to this day because it happen throughout history and will continue to happen because I just believe it's part of life. It happen since the beginning to time and will continue to the end of time.
I feel that blacks have been through the most racism and have faced a lot obstacles because of it. Considering past racism and oppression, I do think that blacks deserve special treatment or acknowledgment. Since I am black, I will not forget how blacks were treated in the past. They were treated unfairly the most and tortured the most by whites. During slavery times, blacks were the ones put as slaves and they were the ones that had to slave over whites and work in the fields. This is something that you should think about because of the way blacks were treated. Abolitionists also should get a lot of acknowledgment and special treatment because they wanted to stop slavery. Even though blacks aren't the only race that dealt with past racism and oppression, I feel that blacks just dealt with the most. Blacks should get this acknowledgment also because of all the people that suffered because of what was going on in the past such as slavery.
ReplyDeleteI believe that so-called "reverse racism" to whites is not acceptable because it would not make anything better. It would just make things worse and bring negative problems. Even though whites may deserve it, people shouldn't reverse it on them and start treating them bad. These type of things cause problems in our world and who wants that. Lastly, racism still happens to this day mostly because of the past. Some people still believe that it's okay to racist so they still do it. Racism started in the past and I feel like it will not end soon.
I think that blacks should get reparation because of slavery because they had to endure some much during this time. They had white men beating them, they had very short time to sleep, and the women were constantly being raped. So we I feel that we need to be repaid in someway for all this wrong doing our ancestors had to take. So I do think that we should be at least acknowledged for the troubles that black people ancestor had to go through. But one thing I think is that reverse racism is unacceptable. Just because they enslaved black people doesn’t mean we should hate them or think we are any better than them. Two wrongs don’t make a right. And to me if we did reverse racism it just wouldn’t feel right. In today world racism isn’t that much of a problem. It really on depend on were you are in the world. There are a lot of places in the world that are very racist. A lot of places south in United States are very racist. I think the reason is because they still kind of wish it was in the 1800s were they were superior over all races. Which is understandable it wasn’t their fault its what they inherited from there ancestors. So this is how they were trained to be and unfortunately this how I think some people will be like for the rest of there life and there kids will be like that and there kids will be like that and it will keep going on. So eventually the problem with racism will get bigger but for now it’s not that much of a problem. All races are able to get along with each other. But there always be racism and there’s nothing we can do about it. There always be a group of people who think there better than another race. Like the Klu Klux Klan. They hate black people. But they take it too far. They kill them sometimes just for skin color. But we can’t change their opinion. In conclusion, racism isn’t really a big problem I just have a problem with the KKK. I do think that blacks should be acknowledged for there ancestors. And I am against reverse racism

ReplyDeleteYes I think blacks should get money as an apology for slavery because blacks had to be forced out of their homeland and work on the white mans land under destructive conditions. Blacks were treated like animals and the whites didn’t really care how we work but as long we do the work we were forced into, some of the jobs that blacks did they did not know what they were doing because that task was not presented to them in their mainland but they had to do the task with no problem at all. Whites should just take the time to trade places with the black and see how it feels to be enslaved, if they would have lived that life they would have wanted the money as apology for slavery and they would live with the regret of treating the blacks like they were not people. Yea I think that blacks should get the money because the money is going to be like someone suing for pain and suffering and that what blacks had in that period of time.
Racism today is still a big issue because not only blacks but other races are being are judging other races without knowing anything about it and only putting down their own race, like people have stereotypes that are sometimes not true like how a person from another country might think that a Mexican has jump the border and that’s how arrived to America but that person did not know that the Mexican actually is an American citizen. Before someone puts down other country or make a judgment about another country just think it over it is a good thing to say or saying that to learn something about that person. People sometimes are not trying to be racist but they just want to get stereotype cleared up and not make false judgment that you know will offend someone and make sure that you would not have regrets about what you said. So yes I think that blacks should get money as an apology for slavery and I also think that it is a major issue over slavery.
I'm not too sure what to say about the first question which is if blacks should get special treatment or acknowledgement do to how they were treated during slavery times. I feel this way because with me being a black person myself, that gives me some type of feeling towards this question. It's in the sence of me feeling like blacks should get special treatment and acknowledgement because i am black myself and would appreciate that for myself. Then, its in the point of view from someone of another race that would mostly likely totally disagree. But, at the end i don't feel blacks should be treated special because of the past. I feel that what happened during slavery times were bad but what can we do. What can we do to bring back all the people that died and how cruely black people were treated. But, i don't think nor feel that racism should have ended and just ended. What i mean is that instead of black people being awarded or anything when racism ended, they didn't get anything but freedom. Which they should have been had and they have every right to be free and not slaves. Whites were let off the hook real easily. I don't feel money should be rewarded to blacks do to slavery. I feel maybe atleast a holiday would be better. A holiday that lets blacks celebrate their freedom and memories of the great african-americans that died from this tragedy. I don't believe that reverse-racism is neccisary. As i said before, slavery was in the past and their are many new generations since that time. Reverse-racism isn't needed nor the right thing to do. Also, many whites aren't racist so that wouldn't be fair to them. Rasicm still exsists and is a problem today. But, lucky it's not a big one. As you can see, the president of the country in which i live in is half black and half white which is a beautiful thing and change has really come. It used to be all white presidents but now its a half black one. This is a big part in our history!

ReplyDeleteThroughout the course of history, America has always been considered a fairly racist country. Undoubtedly the greatest injustice in the United States is the whites’ treatment towards African American, specifically through slavery. The vast majority of whites around that time period possessed this awkward believe that Caucasian Americans were better than African Americans and so they treated them with low respect, integrity, and unbalance equality. However, since the protests, marches, and boycotts conducted by influential and courageous individuals and groups demanding equality and integration, America has become a country of less racial inequality and racial segregation. African Americans are given higher roles in society, treated as equal as white Americans, and endured less struggle and hardship which was usually common for African Americans in the years before.
I think African Americans deserves acknowledgement and not special treatment because today’s black society is essentially different from the one in the past. My point is, African Americans in the past from slavery to the Civil Rights Movement were the ones who encountered the agony and struggle, and so they are the ones who deserve special treatment. On the other hand, African Americans in today’s societies, most of which were born after racism was becoming less of an issue, and blacks were given more equality encountered little to no conflict of racism at all. This is why they should only be acknowledged for what their ancestors have been through and not special treatment because they are not the ones who sustained these hard times.
I also disapprove with the idea of “reverse racism” against whites for their delinquent actions taken in the past. My reason being is because racism is considered negative from any perspective and is never the better way to seek revenge. Racism only brings destruction and corruption to a country as a whole and discourage harmony, peace, and unity among races. Take for instance the outcome of the Holocaust and the Rwanda genocide and we can interpret the wrath and negative impact racism possesses.
I honestly believe that racism is less of a problem in today’s society. Not that it doesn’t exist, but has less of an impact than it had 50 years ago. I also believe that African American racism is even less abounding in comparison to Latin Americans and Arab Americans. It might have seem that because racism is illegal and considered a negative impact to society it rarely exist, but as long as this world goes on, racism will always be an issue among races.
Weather we would like to admit it or not the world is a very raciest place, and one of the raciest places in the world is America. This doesn’t make much sense do the fact that the United States is such a diverse place with so many different cultures ethnicities and languages, instead of learning about each other and accepting one another we judge each other. I think if we would mix and mingle with each other more, racism would be a thing of the past. For example if I have a best friend that’s white and I was very close to her and her family and she was close to mines there would be no way I can say I hate white people and they are all the same. You’re not supposed to judge a person by their race but the fact is some of us do. Do I believe that blacks should have special treatment or reparations? My answer is absolutely NOT! If the government starts giving blacks money for slavery, then that will keep us in the past, slavery is a sad situation and honestly it hurts my heart how ever the thing is that slavery is over it’s in the past and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it because it is over. What I do believe in though is mental enslavement I believe that many blacks suffer from it including myself at times. When I say mental enslavement I think of blacks not thinking they are equal to whites or that there hair isn’t “good” or “I’m ugly because my skin is dark” things like that which still affects the black community today. Instead of useless money which will do nothing but keep u in the past how about classes in school that teaches us how to except our selves for who we are, whatever that might be. I also think that we should acknowledge the fact that slavery happened as well as segregation but we have to except it and move on, after all that’s really all we can do. I don’t believe that “reverse racism” to whites is ok because it’s still racism and it shouldn’t be acceptable for any race. I believe that racism is still a problem today and until we all learn to except each other and not judge because of skin color it will always be a problem. Its mindboggling how such a minute difference between people can cause such a huge problem and for so long.
ReplyDeleteI believe there will never be an end to racism. No matter how hard people may try not to be racist we will always be racist because we are familiar with it. I believe in so called “reverse racism” against all types of ethnicities such as whites, blacks, Hispanics, Indians, Arabians, etc, however I do not believe that people should discriminate against another race. The color of someone’s skin should not limit their ability to do something. Though I may seem brusque when I say I feel this way, because I am racist just for amusement by making silly artificial statements about all ethnicities. I do not discriminate against anyone. I am not bothered with associating myself with someone from a different race. Unfortunately racism is apart of the human way and will be passed down through generations even if there is no pride behind it. I did not choose to be this way, it just grew onto me just like it did to most people today.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate to see one controversial issue dim down while another problem replaces it. I suppose racism is the second terribly controversial subject today. Instead of amusement, hatred is put behind racism causing hate crimes against a race, racial profiling, homicides or genocides, and more. In society today it is rarely heard of severe crime taking place because of racism, though discrimination still does take place.
I do believe black Americans and Africans deserve recognition and acknowledgement every once in a while just to reiterate and inform up coming generations of the oppression and struggles their ancestors faced during slavery and the civil rights movement. However I do not think we should receive compensation for what was done to blacks, even though it would be greatly appreciated. We would be seen as sell outs, like blacks went through all the struggle just for money when the purpose was for pride, respect, dignity, liberation and equality for future generations. The oppression and struggle ancestors faced should teach their descendants to be grateful, for everything that they have, their ancestors struggled so future generations would not.

ReplyDeleteRacism, A hate against someone’s originality, the race most affected by this would be African Americans. I don’t think we should deserver special treatment, but I do believe we should be owed for what happen during slavery. I believe also do believe we should get paid back since we were forced to work in the fields for no pay and horrible treatment; slavery did not end that long ago. What it I think in reverse racism is no, it’s not always good to fight fire with fire no matter how much you really want to do it. Reverse racism isn’t worth it because it can make the situation worse. We could even end up back into slavery or cause a war in Africa if that were to happen. So many things can go wrong if we went became too angry with the past. Even though it was completely wrong for whites to have slaves, it’s also our fault since we allowed ourselves to let other Africans sell other Africans. Racism is a huge probably since it can affect many people and can cause people to react differently. I even wonder why is racism even around, just because some people don’t have your religion, language, tone, or skin color doesn’t mean they should be hated. If everyone was the same, this world would be dull. Do you really care if someone doesn’t have the same eye color or religion as you? You should let people be what they want to be, you can’t force change into anyone. Racism is a really unnecessary thing since all it causes is tons and tons of violence. Many people were even killed just for being different. I really do believe blacks should be acknowledging since something very stupid occurred in this nation. Slavery was the most horrible thing and I think black deserve and apology, I’m not asking for “Were sorry it won’t happen again.” I mean something that can make someone forgive someone for stabbing their best friend. I basically want a complete peace apology that will be remembered, just MLK’s dream speech.
Racism can mean a lot of things, it can mean discrimination against someone’s skin color, background, Male or female. But in this case racism is discrimination against skin color (black and white people). ReplyDeleteI think blacks do deserve acknowledgment, because many blacks did do something to be remembered in history. But I also think we should not receive special treatment. Just like any other blacks I would think things like, we as blacks should get paid as an apology for slavery. But no amount of money can bring back lives or change the pass; so honestly it would not make any sense to pay black Americans back because of slavery, even though it would make us richer. Another reason why we should not get special treatment is because we are not the only ethnic group that been through a hard time (or slavery). At one point in time some whites where slaves, for instance the holocaust. Asians were also going through a rough time in history and etc. Just because we went through hard times longer and more intense than any other ethnic group, I think it would be a big commotion because many would look at it as the past but others may also look at it as, it does not matter my family still suffered and your family is getting away with it.
I do not think reverse racism against whites is acceptable. I think It Would make things worse; I believe that there would be more drama between blacks and whites then there would be friendships. Even though whites may deserve it, two wrongs don’t make a right, and trying to change the past by changing the future does not work.
Yes I do believe African Americans should receive some form of compensation for their more than three hundred years of suffrage. Blacks have been facing different forms of discrimination upon their first interactions with Europeans and coming to America. The people of Britain took it upon themselves to invade African lands for their benefits in the 1900s and enslave some thousands of the people and forced then to migrate to America as slaves. Their compensation is not because they are the only race that has faced hardships throughout history but because the British came into their homes and turned their lives upside down and caused them centuries of adversity. Other groups like the Jews who suffered the Holocaust would beg to differ with this but their suffrage lasted only a few years although it killed millions. Slavery lasted for centuries and unlike most of the Jews who were immediately put in gas chambers and killed by way of other mass killing methods African Americans were forced to live their entire lives up to old age through their adversity. Special treatment, acknowledgement, or money is not what African Americans need instead they should be awarded with more national holidays that commemorate the individuals and dates that are significant in their history. Reverse racism against white is not acceptable because it is not something productive that can build up the black race or take away of the past events like slavery and segregation caused by whites. This may help some people feel better during that moment because they feel as if they are getting some revenge on whites for their ancestors but in fact they are not. They are prolonging the whole issue of racism and not allowing the African American people to advance in life and live above the previously accepted notion that blacks are inferior to whites. Racism is definitely still an issue today and I do not believe it will ever be an issue that can be one hundred percent resolved. In today’s advanced society racism is not usually done purposely in public to a group of African Americans or others but behind the scenes to an individual because today people have a wide variety of opinions and they do not want their image to be publicly destroyed for an issue like racism.
ReplyDeletei don't think blacks should get paid for slavery only for the simple fact that they weren't slaves and they don't know who their ancestors were that were slaves so to me nobody owes us anything. but one thing i feel we do need is respect because their are certain prejudice people in the world who still treat us as if they are above us instead of on our level. also today most prejudice Caucasians follow blacks around stores and stuff because they think we are all the same. not to take sides but i feel that we shouldn't fight or discriminate against each other because of the color of our skin to me thats just unfair but for people that are like that need to be gone because all that is unnecessary. people should get along no matter what color they are because it might be unfair to others that want to learn more about the other cultures and by being discriminated against they wont want nothing to do with the other ethnicity groups.
ReplyDeleteBeing that we live in one of the most racist countries on the planet, demanding special treatment for our previous mistreatment would only cause negativity. I do not believe that blacks should receive special treatment or compensation because of how we were previously treated. It’s true that racism as well as prejudice are things that black people as a whole have experienced firsthand. But we should be treated just like every other race or ethnicity, no matter what happened in the past. Of course there are people who are both black and white who believe that blacks should still be thought of as inferior, and who believe that whites should be hated among blacks.
ReplyDeleteIn the past, whites thought themselves as more superior than African Americans on every level. To this day, there are white who possess a superiority complex. Despite the fact that we were treated so brutally by our counterparts and misjudged so badly, I don’t believe that we should receive compensation for the hardships that were forced upon us by prejudice. Receiving compensation for previous mistreatment would only make relations worse, resulting in other races and ethnic groups to rise up and demand reparation. This would strain the relationship between the black community, the white community, and all other communities as a whole.
“Reversed- racism” is nothing but a mindset within the black community. The fact that there are blacks who think that we should be as brutal towards whites as they were to us is quite frankly baffling. Maybe that sort of rebellion would have worked back during times of segregation, but not during this day and age. We always accepted whites and were the ones who embraced integration, why should that change? It seems a bit unorthodox that we as a people would actually believe that it would be right for us to suddenly turn on whites, and demand that we be treated better than everyone else because it was us who were the victims first. Then we would be viewed as unfair. I believe that in order to resolve the racial and prejudicial issue among blacks, we shouldn’t even think of treating whites the way we were treated. No one deserves to be treated that way, no matter what race, religion, or ethnicity.
Now racism has come up a lot over these past few years. A lot of it is used in jokes or mad fun of, this may appeal to others while some feel that racism is no joke what so ever. Blacks are basically the main attraction towards racism. As for blacks being treated with special treatment I believe that it doesn’t have to be special treatment but just a sign of respect that is taken very seriously and not made a joke of. Reparations would be a great think to have but honestly the way our government functions makes this a dream that far from reality. But who knows maybe in the future the economy may get better and then the United States maybe able to afford to pay all blacks what is rightfully there’s for the taking. Now reverse racism can be a good thing and a bad thing. I say this because this theory may help some people vent their thoughts and help to make the society they live in a more productive place. But it can also lead to more intense debates between two races, which can or will eventually split the country apart to a point were the government has no power or control over a place were they are supposed to be protecting. Reverse racism is around however but it is not as popular yet I believe. In today’s time I think racism is a big problem but I feel it has died down to being more stereotypical in what a race does or what there tradition is. For example most people think that Asians deal with Chinese food, or about how they know karate. Another example can be how people say all blacks like to eat fried chicken when this statement is not true. I feel that these remarks are a improvement from what other racial remarks were said before. Acknowledgement can also be a way to show a sign of respect towards a race, as long as this sign of acknowledgement can be helpful towards ending racism even if it ends racism by 2% can help.
ReplyDeleteRacism is a huge problem people, still face it in this day and age. After all of racism they are still people who contribute to racism. There are some places right now in the United States were some people can’t go because they might be attacked because of their race. That is unbearably to know that people think that one race is the most dominant over all other races. It’s just awful to know that this is still being take place.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think blacks should get any special treatment because slavery was in the past. Instead of blacks getting special treatment we should be trying to get over racism and try to treat each man equally. If blacks are given reparation it’s only going to cause more hate and racism it’s not going to fix anything at all. Also not every black person is going to know is their ancestor was a slave or not. However, I do understand why blacks would want reparation because they probably know that their ancestors went threw a lot and they feel hurt because of what their ancestors went through.
If blacks get reparation it’s going to affect the economy a lot. It’s going to become an enormous controversy. Reparation is just going to be a confusing and hectic time for America. Blacks are to argue because all of them are going to want reparation. Also other races are going to want reparation like the Jews because they went through the holocaust. The economy isn’t going to have enough money to provide money for both blacks and Jews.
At the end of the day it’s not about money it’s about respect. No one should be judge because of there race they should be judge on their personality and the way how they conduct their self and that’s all that matters. People who do hate crimes should be treated severely so that hate crimes could stop. They are the reason why racism is so strong. I don’t think that racism is going to stop because they have a lot of evil and judgmental human beings in the world.
I personally don’t think blacks need special treatment or acknowledgement; doing so would only make us feel more like outcasts for being different. Like everyone else I feel we should be treated equal without a stereotype being added tour name because the color of our skin is a little darker. We don’t need apologies or money, we need opportunities; jobs, education, a chance to live the American dream. Sure we’ve had a troubled past but look how far we have come for people to ostracize us and talk down on us like were lesser. Reverse racism to me would be pointless because then we’d be a bad as the whites who treated us as if we were incompetent and ignorant. What we need to is prove to them that we are capable and able to do what they have done or even better, because that would eat them alive inside. For instance, the fact that we now have a black president upsets the whites because they feel black men aren’t capable of making wise decisions for the people. Even though we aren’t slaves we are still treated as the lesser type. Racist faces walk among us everyday. Discrimination goes on in work places, schools, anywhere you can imagine. Blacks receive fewer chances because the white man doesn’t want to see us succeed in life and that’s that. Some have seen that they are wrong and other will take it to their grave that blacks aren’t supposed to do what white men do. Racism will never die! It’s a bad disease that is hard to cure, it’s a big epidemic. Who can stop it? No one can.
ReplyDeleteAfrican Americans should definitely receive reparations for the many things they have endured throughout history. They have been enslaved, beaten, lynched and tortured throughout the course of history. Reparations for this treatment would definitely be beneficial. We deserve some of payment for the economical, and psychological torment that we have been put through for hundreds of years. Why are we the only culture that thinks it acceptable to be mistreated and just lay down an take it. The Jews didn’t when they received their reparations for the holocaust. Neither did the Japanese when they were placed in internment camps after World War I. Even the Aboriginal Americans got their reparations for the colonization that drove them out of their homes. It is wrong for the descendants of slave-owners to still benefit off of the profits or our hard manual labor. Most of that money, if not all belongs to us. We are the ones who broke our backs and got beaten and kicked, and starved to make a profit for the selfish slave-owners. So much happened to us in that time. Africans were not allowed to speak in their native language and they were not able to communicate with one another. That would have made escaping much easier, if they were able to talk to one another. Most of their cultural things were considered primitive, and barbaric. That is because the white slave-owners did not understand, and when people do not understand things they generally tend to put it down and not even bother to give it a chance. The argument of where the reparations should go to is in effect. They are saying that no living survivor of slavery is still around to give the reparations to so they would not be able to give it to anyone. I think that it should be spread around evenly throughout African American organizations and schools. We are all descendants of slaves so we all should be paid back for the harm that was done to us. There are many things that black Americans take to kindly and this is one of them. We should have our reparations!
ReplyDeleteOver the years, blacks have been treated unfairly by whites. Examples of these unfair treatments are slavery and segregation. Although blacks have received un- just behavior from whites, blacks today do not deserve any type of special treatment, reparation, or apology.
ReplyDeleteAlthough a group of people are of the same race or color that does not mean that everyone should receive the same treatment or rewards as the peers in their group. It is known, that blacks were enslaved by white people. Hundreds of years ago, black people were forced to work on plantations and were looked upon as property rather than as human beings. The slaves who were working on the fields did not receive an apology from anyone. The slaves also did not receive reparations as well.
Other ethnic groups were treated unfairly too. Chinese immigrants were being discriminated against. Some were even killed because the Chinese were not wanted in America. Native Americans as well were being killed off by whites because the whites wanted the Native American’s land. All over the country there is a form of discrimination and racism all over.
If an individual was killed by some one, does that mean that everyone of that individual’s race or ethnic group was killed by that someone as well?
The people that should be paid reparation are the people who are currently victims of racism and discrimination. Blacks today should not receive the reparation this happened to their ancestors. Rather than focus on a group of people we need to look at individuals. Individuals are people who suffer, not the group itself. Groups of suffering individuals deserve reparation, not today’s blacks who are not suffering.
The bad treatment that was put upon black people happened to today’s black individual’s ancestors. It is also partially the same for the white’s ancestors. Some blacks today hate whites for what their ancestor’s have done and some white people hate blacks for the mindset their ancestors have instilled for them. Black and white people should just pay each other great amnesty because no one can be blamed for the actions of someone else whether it is their ancestor or not.
